Intake

Contact us at 303-444-6142 or email us to set up your 1 1/2-hour appointment.

Fee $70 (includes $10 for Education curriculum workbook.)

Intakes are about an hour and a half, and we will listen to your concerns and talk about what services are available to meet your needs. We want to understand your situation, possible requirements, i.e. if you are being court ordered into treatment, and discuss a plan to help you. Confidentiality is discussed as well as options, costs, time schedules, etc. You will be assigned an initial Therapist. We design a program together with you and you may pay for services 'as you go' and discontinue treatment at any time.

Out of State Offenses

Before an Intake or Evaluation is scheduled BAEC requires a copy of Police Report, and any referral or paperwork from the Court of the State which you received the offense in.

Out of State: Clients will receive assistance to register with the Interstate Compact Commission. This is done at no additional charge. Interstate Compact requires referral or paperwork from the Court of the State in which you received the offense in, it must include: the court case number, controlling agency in sending state, their address, contact person, phone number, whether this case is supervised or unsupervised and whether you are on parole or probation, and whether this is a felony or misdemeanor. Clients must be approved by the ICC before you may attend group. This approval process is unpredictable, typically takes 1-8 weeks. BAEC must have all the paperwork from the State where the offense occurred.

If you have the recommendations from the State, then BAEC will need a copy of that referral in order to enroll you in the program that will meet the State’s requirements.

If you did not receive an evaluation from the State where the offense occurred, you most likely will need an Alcohol/Substance Use Evaluation. See below for more information regarding Evaluations.
